Death – Charles Bishop

It is with great sadness that I write to tell you that, after a series of medical issues, Charles Bishop passed away in Leicester General Hospital on Saturday, 19th August.

Charles was a very kind, generous and enthusiastic man who contributed so much to ringing in Leicestershire and beyond.

Some rounds and call changes were rung at Oaks in Charnwood in his memory on 20th August, many of the ringers having had their first lessons with Charles.

A quarter peal of Bristol Surprise Maximus was rung in his memory also on 20th August at St Margarets.
